ParlAmericas expresses its solidarity with the Venezuelan people following the earthquake that affected the country, causing tragic loss of life, injuries, and material damage in various communities.

We extend our condolences to the families of the victims and our wishes for a swift recovery to those who were injured. We also stand with those who, amid uncertainty and grief, are carrying out response, assistance, and damage assessment efforts, as well as the difficult process of recovery.

This emergency presents a reminder to the region of the importance of cooperation, disaster preparedness, and institutional response capacity to protect lives, aid affected communities, and support reconstruction efforts.
